On the sign is Bushells they are my grand parents where the sigh is that building turned into a bookies and further up on the corner of coach road was the post office.
my grandad owned all the houses to the left numbers 3,4,5,6,7, i was born in number 4 we then moved to number 5 until gateshead council decided to pull the place down for the western by-pass.
Opposite was the coak works i can still smell the white clouds coming off the ovens there and helpping mam get the washing in, if the wind was in the wrong direction.
